Of course everyone has their opinion and the public want everybody fired, longer jail terms, more prisons etc.The most worrying thing in all of this is our new police chief.I was dumbfounded to see him ranting on about those"chronic offenders"again.Chronic offenders is a pseudonym for back alley dope fiends that support their habits by petty theft.A gang war is tearing the city apart and this guy is whining about petty thieves.NO ONE has dared mention the root cause of the problem. They still have their heads planted firmly in the sand and are hoping it'll all just go away.If there was even one person in public office with the guts to tell the truth it would make so much difference.Unfortunately.politicians are ,for the most part, out to hold on to the power they have and to increase it if possible. If there are really a majority of Canadians that want the drug war put to an end,why the reticence to speak out?Meanwhile we get the same old cries and the blame game and everybody shaking the rope. It's like there's some kind of disconnect between their brains and common sense.11 and who knows how many more before this little spate is over. Then there'll be pats on the back and good job but nothing will have changed and it'll be quiet only till the next market correction.
